The new collection Horo is one of the two new collections 2020 from Masiero. We introduce Horo as first, then next week we are going to introduce the second one, Vegas designed by Marc Sadler, and the following weeks all the other many novelties 2020.
So, Horo has been created from the collaboration between Masiero, one of the best elegant lighting world producer and French designer Pierre Gonalons, which is mainly focuses on minimalist design influenced by the decorative arts and pop culture. The fusion between Masiero Mood and Gonalons’ sensibility has achieved this new and so personal concept.
Horo has a minimalist design inspired by the roundness of the sun. Thanks to the combination of materials and finishes used, a simple and almost graphic shape has emerged, leading to a family of products with a vintage and theatrical look.
The name Horo is an explicit throw-back to the sun god Horus, who is iconically represented by a falcon protecting ancient kings.
Horo perfectly represents the Modern Masiero Mood: it is extremely refined and elegant and, at the same time, completely contemporary.
Shapes are essential, just a circular metallic structure which contains two glass discs, strip led along the frame and on the base a glass disc which add more lightness. So, the lamps have double lights sources to obtain a full light effect with direct and indirect light.
The metal circular frame is covered with prismatic glass diffusers available 5 colours that follow and make the current interior trends: Transparent & Gold, Pink and gold, Light Blue and Gold, Smoky and Gold, Green and Gold.
Gold here means burnished brass that which gives an effect of richness and elegance with minimalist shapes.
